Receiving a diagnosis that an aortic aneurysm is present in your body, is something no one ever wants to hear. Even for Shelby Kurz who was born with a heart defect and has been closely monitored her whole life, it's still a tough pill to swallow.
Shelby shares her experience of first learning of her diagnosis back in May and what it means for her going forward.
*Update: Since this episode was recorded, Shelby has seen a surgeon and it was made clear that her previous scans to measure the aneurysm were not clear enough to determine the size of dilation, and currently it is small enough to avoid surgery for now.
